'The Government is committed to introducing an entitlement to primary language learning.  The expectation is that by 2012 every primary school pupils will have a meaningful experience of foreign language learning...'

‘It is essential to develop positive attitudes in pupils towards the learning of a foreign language and to develop pupil’s awareness and knowledge of other countries and people…’.

 

  • The course is particularly about motivation: to awake interest in people from other countries and cultures; establish that learning a language can be fun, and that real communication is achievable almost from the beginning.

  • The emphasis is on speaking and listening; learning to communicate in the foreign language in real situations appropriate to the needs and interests of young pupils.

Teaching methodology firmly based on the Primary Curriculum. Learning having fun (learning active, using physical response, games, songs and storytelling. Audio CDs and Video also used).
